Stainless steel ER310 wires have excellent corrosion resistance in different environments. It can withstand exposure to high-temperature gases, acidic solutions, and seawater. ER310 wires can resist pitting and crevice corrosion even in environments with high sulfur content. It is also resistant to oxidation, which makes it an ideal material for high-temperature applications.
Stainless Steel ER310 Wires Chemical Composition
The chemical composition of ER310 wires consists of nickel, chromium, and manganese. It also contains small amounts of silicon, carbon, and phosphorous. The nickel content provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the chromium component enhances the wire's heat resistance. Manganese enhances the wire's strength, while the small amount of carbon helps reduce the grain size, resulting in better toughness.

ER310 wires have excellent physical and mechanical properties. Its tensile strength is 80 ksi, and the yield strength is 30 ksi. It has a high melting point of 2750°F, which makes it suitable for high-temperature applications. It also has good elongation, meaning it can resist deformation without breaking. Moreover, ER310 wires are non-magnetic, meaning they are safe for electrical equipment use.
