It's commonly used for welding similar alloys in wrought and cast forms, such as 301, 302, 304, and 308, as well as for high-temperature applications up to 800°F. The high carbon content in 308H makes it suitable for applications that require resistance to creep and high-temperature strength.

Stainless Steel 308L Mig Wire Chemical Composition

Stainless Steel 308L Mig Wire has a chemical composition of Chromium 18-20%, Nickel 9-11%, Manganese 1-2%, Silicon 0.3-0.65%, Carbon 0.03% max, Phosphorus 0.03% max, Sulfur 0.03% max, and Iron the balance. The wire has excellent weldability, low spatter, and smooth arc transfer, making it suitable for welding 304, 304L, and 308 stainless steel.

Stainless Steel 308H Filler Wire is a filler wire type that can be machined easily, thanks to its high flexibility and toughness.
