Inconel 825 Flanges Corrosion Resistance
Inconel 825 flanges are a variation of the Incoloy 825 alloy and comprise nickel, chromium, and molybdenum. These flanges have excellent corrosion resistance properties and are often used in extreme environments where other materials would fail. Inconel 800 Flanges Chemical Composition
Inconel 800 flanges have a chemical composition of around 30-35% nickel, 20-23% chromium, 0.75-1.5% aluminium, and a maximum of 0.15% carbon. The addition of aluminium in Inconel 800 flanges contributes to their excellent resistance to oxidation. Inconel 800 flanges also contain small amounts of titanium, iron, and sulfur.
Inconel 825 Flanges Heat Treatment
Inconel 825 flanges are designed to withstand high-temperature applications. They are strengthened through a process of cold work and thermal treatment. This process increases the flexibility of the flanges allowing them to be used in a wide range of applications. Inconel 825 flanges can be annealed at approximately 930°C for 15 minutes per millimetre thickness.
