Duplex Steel F60/2205/1.4462 is a widely used duplex stainless steel with higher strength and excellent corrosion resistance than standard austenitic stainless steel. This steel has two-phase microstructures- austenitic and ferritic- making it suitable for a broad range of applications.

Duplex Steel 2205 Flats have excellent corrosion resistance in various environments, including acidic, alkaline, and chloride-containing solutions. Due to their duplex microstructure, they have improved stress corrosion cracking resistance compared to standard austenitic stainless steels. Duplex Steel 1.4462 Angles Chemical Composition
Duplex Steel 1.4462 Angles contain 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and 0.2% nitrogen. They also balance austenitic and ferritic microstructures, which offer higher strength, improved pitting resistance, and increased stress corrosion cracking resistance. Duplex Steel 1.4462 Angles have a low nickel content compared to other austenitic stainless steels, reducing their cost and making them more economical.
